ABOUT ME

Arny Granat has deep roots as a vibrant entrepreneur in the entertainment business. He co-founded Jam Productions in 1971, Jam Theatricals in 1995 and founded Grand Slam Productions in 2012.

Jam Productions is one of the most prominent independent concert promoters in North America and has promoted a wide array of events over the past 50 years, including the Rolling Stones, Madonna, and Frank Sinatra. Jam Productions also produced the first Farm Aid Concert in 1985. Through the corporate special events division, Jam Productions produced events such as the grand opening of Millennium Park in Chicago, three Gubernatorial Inaugurations, and the World Cup ’94 Chairman’s Opening Night Gala.  In January 2019, Granat announced his departure from Jam Productions after 48 years.

Grand Slam Productions is a production/promotion company focused on traveling exhibits, concerts, and events like the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame traveling exhibit, Bodies: The Exhibition (which toured worldwide).  In addition, Arny produced the highly successful Lightscape exhibit and was instrumental in the Nik Wallenda wire walk across the Chicago River.  Granat co-owns The Big Apple Circus, and co-produced David Blaine Presents Asi Wind’s Inner Circle. In 2021, Arny formed MPAG with Michael Cohl for live events worldwide.

Granat expanded his range of entertainment into the world of film with the biopic screenplay MY LAST SKIRT written by Stephanie Sanditz, based on Lynda Durrant’s novel “My Last Skirt, The Story of Jennie Hodgers, Union Soldier”, and theater through Jam Theatricals which managed subscription seasons in 30+ cities nationwide, striving to bring Broadway’s best to the communities they serve. Theater presentations included some of Broadway’s biggest blockbusters: Wicked, The Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys, The Phantom of the Opera, and many more. Additional Broadway credits include Mean Girls, Something Rotten, Hand To God, The Realistic Joneses, The Glass Menagerie, One Man Two Guvnors, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune, Talk Radio, November, Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5”, The Addams Family, and The 30th Anniversary Revival of Glengarry Glen Ross starring Al Pacino.

Granat resides in Chicago with his wife, Irene Michaels.
